The Groundhog

I bet you don’t know what a groundhog is! I didn’t know what it was too, until last summer when I went to Canada. We stayed at our friend’s cabin on a gorgeous little lake near Montreal. We saw so many wild animals like deers, turkeys and groundhogs. It was the first time seeing one, it was so cute! Groundhogs are large rodent that can be called woodchuck, they have reddish-brown fur, and they hibernate during winter. He lived under my friend’s house, he used to come out from his burrow in the mornings and in the evenings to eat clovers. We believe that there was his whole family living under us. We believed this because the one picking out in the morning was different from the one picking out in the evening.

FUN FACTS
